A 2002 Aprilia Futura RST. These are quite rare - basically a big grunty Aprilia V twin in a nice sophisticated touring bike. Its a nice comfy bike with good wind protection that is quick even by todays standards and handles beautifully. It's in very clean condition as the pictures show, with no damage (except for a bit of a scuff on one of the paniers where I kicked it across the garage floor when it wasn't on the bike....), and has been well looked after. It's an 18 year old bike, but its futuristic looks and great condition hide that age well. The bike is standard except for the exhaust which makes a lovely noise without being excessively loud, and Oxford heated grips which work well. A well equipped bike with high quality hard panniers and plenty of room 2-up. You're welcome to come and see the bike before the auction end, but obviously no test rides.If you've any questions please let me know, or if you want any specific photos. Now the bad news: I sold this bike a few days ago for £1900.00 and it was to be collected today but unfortunately it has developed an intermittent fault this morning meaning that it couldn't really be ridden away, so the buyer has understandably pulled out. The fault is electrical. Sometimes it starts fine and other times it's dead, or sometimes it starts but dies if anything electrical is switched on (lights, horn, etc). I'm pretty sure it's not the battery or the charging system as when it does start it cranks over quickly and starts quickly as normal. It feels like a short somewhere or a bad earth. Unfortunately I don't have the time or the space to get the fairings off and try to find the problem so I'm selling as it is - possibly an easy fix and you get a very cheap bike, or possibly it's going to need more. When it starts it rides as normal and doesn't cut out, but I would suggest it is collected by van or trailer as it might not start and I can't guarantee it won't cut out.
