1965 Honda C200 90 Unregistered US Import Barn Find Classic Restoration Project Manufacturer: Honda Model: C200 90 Year: 1965 Engine No: C200E-34821 Frame No: C200-3176889 Colour: Bronze Mileage: 3244 Capacity: 89cc Starting at: £999.99 Stock No: 84988 This lightweight 1965 Honda C200 90cc machine has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........ As you can see this bike has few parts missing & we have have noticed some damage at the top of the forks on the left. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS......... The wheels look straight with nice clean chrome rims, but the brakes don't work. The forks and yokes look straight. The tail light assy looks good but the lens is cracked and seems to have been filled. The headlight looks a bit black inside. The speedo glass is misty but the instrument looks okay inside. The minimalist switches look and feel okay. The paintwork is faded but solid, fuel tank is quite clean inside. The seat looks to be in surpprisingly good condition, and feels okay underneath. The chain guard is solid. The front mudguard is a bit broken at the front & is a bit knocked at the back. The standard exhaust is solid, but has been cut down. The engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it firing/running & revving on easystart spray but the fuel system & carb will need attention. If you are ready for a new project and have been looking for a classic sixties Honda to restore then look no further – THIS ONE COULD BE YOURS!!! The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated. We HAVE NOT got the Certificate of Title but we will provide proof that VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.(This can take upto 4 weeks) Registration. You need to get the bike MOTed. (Vehicles over 40 years old are MOT exempt) You need proof of year of manufacture in writing. To get a recognised dating letter apply in writing to Honda Motorcycle Operations at the following address. Year of Manufacture, Honda (UK),Cain Road, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 1HL The following information for the bike should quoted, Model, VIN, Engine number. Additionally you should include your contact details (telephone number and email). There is administration fee of £30 (25 + VAT) which can be paid by cheque or postal order payable to Honda (UK). If information needs to be acquired from Japan the the "Proof of year of manufacture" letter can take upto 6 weeks to arrive. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration plus the current amount for the road tax. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number. Spares you may need Our used spares dept may carry items you need for this project. Any parts available will be offered for sale on eBay.
