I have known this TTR since accompanying a friend to Dorset to buy it in January 2007, with around 5,500 miles then recorded. Several of us owned TTR's for green lane ventures and this TTR changed hands between a couple within our group. The last owner purchased it in January 2011 when the MOT certificate records the mileage as 9,174. Due to insufficient time to ride, within a year, the bike was declared SORN and remained garaged until the beginning of 2018, when I heard about it and bought it for my son. It is registered in his name, but having got the taste for enduro riding, he decided on a WRF, so the TTR became redundant again and has remained unused since in my garage. So it has been garaged for 9 years since being declared SORN on 1/7/2011. I have DVLA form V956 supporting this. A computer check will also verify this. Just before the previous owner declared the bike SORN, I replaced a broken speedometer for him, when it was recording less than 10,000 miles. MOT test certificates and related documents confirm this. Prior to MOT, I thoroughly went over the bike and readied it for its next owner, to the same standard I would have done for my son. At MOT on 28/05/2020 mileage records 1,070 miles on the replacement speedo, so all in all, the bike has done around 11,000 miles.About the bike; It has an FMF silencer with standard front pipe.New air filter fitted, (plus additional new spare) and carburetor thoroughly cleaned, jetted to suit and reassembled with new gasket, o rings, diaphragm pump needle. Air snorkel has been lightly trimmed to aid air flow, not removed and hacked off as is often the case and air box remains standard.New fuel tap, pipe and clips, spark plug. Very recent chain and sprockets with 13/48 ratio, ideal for the lanes and getting there and back. New, fork seals, oil and pro-grip gaiters. Engine oil and filter replaced. (plus spare filter) Brake fluid replaced. Plenty of service left in front/rear pads. (plus new spare pads, front and rear). New Michelin T63 front tyre ( plus another new T63 rear spare to replace rear when required). Current T63 on the rear has hardly been used. B & B heavy duty aluminium Engine/Sump guard from Australia. (Off road engineering) Works Connection aluminium frame guards from USA. Australian Barkbuster heavy duty aluminium handguards/fitting kit with Renthal handlebars.Motion Pro brake and clutch levers.Polisport ,(CE Approved) headlight unit has replaced the original at some stage. Rear shock absorber stripped and nitrogen needle fill in reservoir converted to more convenient schraeder valve with new fluid. Suspension linkage assembly bearings replaced with new. Swing arm bearings checked and fine so reassembled with new grease.Wheel bearings and head race bearings fine. Standard footrests modified to provide wider more stable platform and chemically re-plated/passivated by MOD contractor. Brake snake.Has both kick and electric start.Comes with spare NEW Michelin T63 rear tyre, (same as fitted). New spare front sprocket 13 tooth,New spare Genuine Yamaha oil filter,New spare Hi Flo foam air filter,Service document on CD. Yamaha Warranty handbook from supplying dealer E.A. Taylor Motorcycles, ,Somerset with dealer service stamps up to 3311 miles on 04/07/06. Some MOT certificates and bills.Rear passenger footrests.These TTR's have a deserved reputation, loyal following and dedicated website and spares supplier. Ebay will not permit me to attach links, but any computer search will reveal a wealth of information.As long as I have known this bike, it has been capable and reliable and it starts on the button and rides well, but it is time to let it go. Bear in mind, It is a 16 year old motorcycle and shows normal signs of wear and tear, commensurate with its use, some of the frame parts could do with a touch up and the plastics are marked, but I believe it is ready to be ridden and enjoyed and I have done my best to present an honest appraisal and hope my feedback will give you some confidence.
