1980 SUZUKI TS 185 ER As pictured.I restored this bike about 2 years ago. It's the second TS I've restored and I enjoy the process of bringing them back to life.I did try to get it as original and as new looking as possible. There are lots of new genuine Suzuki parts, chrome exhaust guard, clocks, grab handle, forks, and lots more.Everything has been repainted by me,(that was my game a few years back).The frame is spray painted in two pack, not powder coated,(not a fan).I wheeled it out of the shed this morning where it's been resting for the last 6 months, fuel on and it started second kick.It runs well and sounds crisp.I rebuilt the engine, bearings etc but it's the original piston and rings on a standard bore.There are a few pattern parts I didn't get from Suzuki, mirrors, rear light, front reflectors.The idiot light panel is the original and looks a bit tatty on close inspection.The rear shock springs could do with re chroming. The rear wheel rim is the original and does have a few specks of rust when scrutinised.I've used all the correct fixings, no swapped out bolts for stainless, I'm a stickler for originality when possible.I've only ridden this bike to mot shop and back when I first finished it and couple of short rides out, 20 miles in all. I will put a years MOT on it before the end of the auction but it will qualify to be MOT and tax exempt after Oct this year when it will be 40 years old.Everything works and it is ready to used or admired. Sad to sell, I've enjoyed owning it but have other projects I'm working on so the space and money would be handy.Low start auction, I will not end the auction early so bid with confidents.
